The Four Musketeers #4
sketchfab
Named in tribute to Alexandre Dumas' classic novel The Three Musketeers, this quartet of pots pays homage to the book's central character d'Artagnan, who rises to become the fourth musketeer as the narrative reaches its conclusion. Dr Iskandar's "portrait" is a nod to the flamboyant and charismatic adventurers from the novel, who are united by their famous battle cry: "All for one, and one for all!" The pots reflect this unity while still showcasing individuality, just like in the book. Black "Athos" represents the wise and melancholic mentor figure; orange "Porthos" embodies the bold and fearless swordsman with a flair for the dramatic; blue "Aramis" is the charming and loyal musketeer; and lavender "d'Artagnan's" pot captures his youthful ambition to join the ranks of the elite musketeers. Dr Iskandar achieves vibrant, ungradated colors using a technique that involves applying colored slips. The four pots share similar ovoid shapes and sizes, each featuring a small lug-handle on its shoulder.
