The Four Musketeers #2
sketchfab
Named in tribute to Alexandre Dumas' classic novel The Three Musketeers (1844), this quartet of pots pays homage to the main character d'Artagnan, who by story's end becomes the fourth musketeer. Dr. Iskandar's "portrait" draws inspiration from the panache and bravado of these swashbuckling heroes and their iconic battle cry: "All for one and all for one!" The pots are united but still distinct, just like in the novel. Black 'Athos' is a father figure, mentor, and melancholy soul; Orange 'Porthos' is a bold, vain, and fearless swordsman; Blue 'Aramis' is a charming, romantic, and loyal musketeer; and lavender 'd'Artagnan's' pot represents his youthful dream of joining the musketeers. Dr. Iskandar crafted solid, ungraded colors using colored slips. Each of the four pots has an identical ovoid shape and size; they all bear a small lug handle on their shoulder.
