The Four Musketeers #1
sketchfab
Named in tribute to Alexandre Dumas' classic novel The Three Musketeers (1844), this quartet of pots pays homage to the central character d'Artagnan, who emerges as the fourth musketeer at the story's conclusion. Dr Iskandar's 'portrait' series draws inspiration from the bold and daring exploits of these legendary adventurers and their iconic rallying cry: "All for one, and one for all!" The pots are united yet distinct, much like the characters in the novel. Black 'Athos' assumes a paternal role, serving as mentor and melancholic guide; Orange 'Porthos' embodies brashness, vanity, and fearless swordsmanship; Blue 'Aramis' exudes debonair charm, romanticism, and unwavering loyalty; while Lavender 'd'Artagnan' represents his youthful aspiration to join the musketeers. Dr Iskandar employs solid, unvariegated colors achieved through colored slips. Each of the four pots boasts an ovoid shape and similar size, featuring a small lug-handle on its shoulder.
