I'm kicking off the new year with a refreshing breeze on January 2019 and it's clear that winter is starting to chill the air out there. This time of year requires us to put our best efforts into helping our garden wildlife, as finding food becomes an uphill task in the harsher months, and we all enjoy giving our feathered and furry friends a timely helping hand during these tough times. In my Etsy store, you'll find a wildlife feeder already, but I was eager to design something more versatile and suitable for various spots around the home and garden, hence today's introduction of The FoodPod! The pod comprises two connected halves secured by a sturdy docking collar, with the lower half featuring small holes at the bottom to prevent water from seeping in, thus minimizing the risk of food spoilage. The upper half boasts openings on both sides, angled 120 degrees apart, making it effortless for birds, squirrels, and other wildlife to access the treats within. Simply rotate the top counterclockwise to unlock it and refill as needed – an ingenious touch that makes refilling a breeze. You can easily set up The FoodPod on any flat surface with its built-in stand or even hang it from a tree branch using the sturdy hook attached to the top section. To optimize storage, you may omit printing the stand or hook altogether, reserving them for future use if needed. As an added bonus, this ingenious design can be repurposed in various ways: detach the top to create a freestanding bowl, perfect for hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, mice, and other small critters – essentially providing a playful space for your pets.
