The flag of South Korea, also known as the Taegukgi, its name literally translates to "Taeguk flag". It is composed of three distinct parts: a white rectangular background, a red and blue Taeguk in the center representing balance, and four black trigrams, chosen from the original eight, on each corner of the flag.
