The problem is while shredding cheese or any food; that sometimes your finger slips and it cuts you or the food gets too small making it harder to hold and shred with. The solution can be either a clip that holds the food opposite of where you are shredding or an object with a flat surface on one side and a handle on the other, that way your fingers are safe from the grater. The issue is a small inconvenience but a recurring one that can easily be fixed with a 3d printer and can be any color or style as long as it does not affect the food. The solution to this problem can be useful to chefs or people who avidly cook,making the cooking experience safer and can even be used to help keep kids safe who want to help out in the kitchen. My solution is to eradicate nicking or scratching hands and fingers while using a cheese grater. My solution is to be 5in in height and 3inn in width. The inside and outside diameter will be the same. I run into the problem of sizing not every food will fit perfectly in the protector, some will have to be cut into smaller sizes taking away the conveniences. The product should last as long as silicone along with the wear and tear of it being in use and washing it should give it a 20yrs life span. There will be two sides, one that's flat with little bristles at the end to hold the food and the other side is a handle. Should fit comfortably in the hand. This is a specific solution that can only be used in this scenario. The color filament can be an array of colors, as long as the filament dissent affected the food it should work fine.
