The Fifth Element Stones (Elemental Stones)
pinshape
This is my rendition of the Elemental Stones from The Fifth Element. They are 1:1 scale models built in TinkerCad based on high-quality photos of movie props. I aimed to create these as accurately as possible, drawing and placing "damage/cracks" closely matching their appearance in prop photos. The stones were designed hollow for printing ease and left open for you to cut them as needed to fit your printer. One stone printed cut in half took 11.5 hours on my Mbot clone. Check out my other Fifth Element props on this site for more. I've also included an Elemental Stone Light Cover file, designed to sit atop any of the stones. I suggest printing it in translucent filament or making a mold and casting in matching colors. For added drama, use Smooth-On's Cast Magic powder with tinted resin to replicate the sparkly effect seen in the movie. Please note: Do not place candles under this cover; instead, use low-temp LED lights or battery-powered flicker candles. The light cover is not vented and will melt if used otherwise. To customize the prints, start by using them as a base. I recommend using a Dremel to further damage/age the stones and sanding down the corners for a more aged look. If you want to turn these into lamps, print out the "Elemental Stone Light Cover" file in translucent filament or make a mold of it to cast multiples in different colors. I plan to use Smooth-On's Crystal Clear resin with SO-Strong Tints and Cast Magic powders to achieve the glowing sparkly effect.
