The Fidget Stick
cults3d
This model showcases a fidget stick, which can be easily searched for on Google if unfamiliar. The spinner stick is printed in one piece without any modifications. Its rounded shape features a hollow center and solid material at both ends, acting as weights to enhance its functionality. To print this design, I used PLA with a 0.2mm layer thickness, a PEI bed temperature of 70C, a nozzle temperature of 200C, and enabled the material cooling fan. The most crucial aspect is printing with an extremely high infill percentage, which I achieved at 95%. This ensures that the weights at both ends are solid and don't require any material support during the printing process. To make the ends more grippy, it's beneficial to apply a thin layer of adhesive to the flat surfaces and then cut them using scissors or an XActo knife. The OpenScad source file is included for those who wish to modify the design further, but the provided STL file should suffice for printing purposes.
