The Fane of Bones

The Fane of Bones

After witnessing those eerie skeletons (and being inspired by Dutchmogul's haunting skeleton-themed scatter terrain in the Meepleverse Kickstarter) I realized I needed a truly terrifying dungeon where the undead could dwell in dark terror.\n\nWelcome to the Fane of Bones, a foreboding lair that creaks and groans with every step. The floor shatters like brittle twigs beneath your feet as you approach the entrance. The walls seem to sneer at you with a thousand ghastly grins, their macabre beauty multiplied a thousandfold by the dusty bones of the undead. Every inch of this forsaken place appears to be crafted from the very bones of the dead, and it's as if the very fabric of reality could come alive at any moment. The undead seem to emerge from the walls themselves like specters! Are you a courageous hero brave enough to challenge the Fane of Bones?\n\nThis miniature terrain is designed for Meepleverse and Pocket Tactics, with a scale that allows for epic battles. The meeple miniatures featured in these pictures are primarily my creations (check out my Meeples collection on my profile) but I also incorporated the archer and footman meeples from Meepleverse to add some variety. You can print the floor pieces either vertically or horizontally, each approach having its advantages. Printing vertically uses less filament and prints faster, but it's more prone to failure and demands a raft. I printed all the pieces without supports, except for one – the altar – which gave me trouble due to my printer being a bit temperamental. If I had to print the altar again, I'd do it upside down for optimal results. All of these prints were done on my trusty Ender 3.
