To fulfill my daughter's promise, I added wings to MakiYoshida's Animation-ish girl (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130) and created a fairy in just a weekend. The model was printed on a Replicator Sailfish 039 with 0.1mm layer height, 2 shells, 15% fill, 100 feedrate, print temp 230, and filament size 1.75. I included support blocks for better printing but carefully removed them afterward, particularly the pointy finger. To smooth the surface, I used acetone in a rice cooker set to warm, ensuring the fairy stayed dry. A metal stand was utilized for stability, and precautions were taken during the acetone process due to its fumes.
