Exclusively designed for metal shredding, this mini-shredder in a construction facility finely processes metal scraps from an autonomous 3D gantry machine. The resulting pellets can then be melted down into raw materials in a kiln. As part of the exclusive system, the mini-shredder connects to the material logistics of the autonomous 3D portal machine via a pneumatic tube-like setup. This efficiently removes tool stock, which is sucked inside the tools and fed through the material logistics cycle on either side of the portal machine. Four cyclones on the machine separate metals from liquids, such as metalworking coolants and lubricants, ensuring further purity in the remaining materials. The entire mechanical structure of this system is designed using SolidWorks, IGS, and STEP software. However, data recovery and reconstruction remain a current challenge.
