On the contrary. His exile is his mission. He's a special envoy, an incognito, a spy, so to speak. Being taken for a vagabond wherever he goes, he can pick up clues, hear rumours, eavesdrop behind doors, gather clues, and discreetly investigate unauthorized uses of Magic. Traveling to the most distant villages, to the wildest human groups, he ventures through the darkest and most dangerous regions, illuminating the shadows with the lantern hanging from his staff, seeking to denounce clandestine sorcerers, as well as researching, in the confines of places civilized by the Guild, the vestiges of Ancestral Magic.
