<p>Don't know what to do with the purged line of filament from each print? &nbsp;Well, once you've got a handful of them, you can use them to make this little brush.</p><p>This brush is a bit more challenging to put together than other 3d printed brushes. &nbsp;But saving the environment is worth it.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Assembly Instruction</strong></p><p>In addition to a handful of filament purged lines, you'll also need a popsicle stick and a piece of filament 54mm in length.</p><ol><li>Print the brush body and remove the bream and support material.</li><li>Hold the brush body in place with the filament opening pointing upward. &nbsp;I put the brush body in a my mobile workbench. &nbsp;If you don't have a vice, you can just stick it to the edge of a table.</li><li>Place the purge lines over the body. &nbsp;With a screwdriver or a ruler, fold the purge lines by pushing them all the way into the body. &nbsp;(Note: in the picture, I have the short end of the purge lines at the front and the long ends at the back held down by a weight. &nbsp;This is the separate the front and back bristles, so we can easily insert the filament to lock everything in place).</li><li>Once you have all the purged lines in place. &nbsp;Insert the 54mm filament between the front and back bristles. &nbsp;Holding the body steady, push the filament all the way into the brush body with a screwdriver. &nbsp;The bristles should now be locked in place.</li><li>Use a scissor to cut the bristles to desired length. &nbsp;To complete the brush, just insert the popsicle stick handle.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Issues encountered by users</strong></p><p>Some bristles may break if used with more brittle material like PLA. &nbsp;Glue can be used to hold them in place. &nbsp;(ABS purge lines use in picture)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Check out my other useful prints at <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/76585-highrise-workshop/prints">https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/76585-highrise-workshop/prints</a>. &nbsp;And don't forget to click the “Like” button.</p>
