Years ago, as part of my design school application portfolio, I crafted an intriguing project during my teenage years. The eye-catching piece featured .64" and 1" melanin pieces, along with .764" thick pine wood. Using a jigsaw for cutting and hand sanding the radii on the pine, I concluded by finishing the melanin with trim. This innovative design boasted a unique flowy shape, a suspended cantilever effect on one end, and an oval appearance that inspired its nickname "the egg." Despite being photographed alongside an outdated 14" CRT monitor, this functional piece remains a cherished item in my collection today. Your thoughts and feedback are greatly appreciated!
