I haven't laid hands on these for quite a while, and I'm not sure when I'll get around to finishing them, but they might make some cheerful additions to an Anglo-Saxon Army - the fyrd raised from common citizens of Anglo-Saxon England who helped defeat the Vikings at Ethandun and various other battles although technically there wasn't an England at that time.
