Thingiverse Member sentinel23 asked for design details on the "Cylinder Notes MHALL.stl" part in "Four Whistles". This cylinder activates arms which activate valve arms and valves via 2.5mm tall bumps around its surface. So, here's a detailed rundown of my design process. As always, I'm likely missing a file or two, so feel free to ask if you have any questions - I make mistakes plenty often. Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced with Cura 2.3.1, and printed in PLA on an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended. As mentioned, the entire model was designed in Autodesk Fusion360, and I've included "Cylinder Notes MHALL v2.f3d", the exported design file for the cylinder. Load this into Autodesk Fusion360 to view each step of my design process. The first song I chose for Four Whistles is "Mary Had A Little Lamb". The notes C, D, E, and G were used, requiring 30 valve activations at a reasonable cranking speed. Estimated playtime was about 10 seconds. With printing tolerances in mind, I determined a 40mm cylinder surface diameter would accommodate the required notes and playtime.
