UPDATE 7/11/2019 Here is a fantastic urethane neck piece to complement the mask which is very welcome because I don't want to risk ruining a $200 cowl with glue/subpar TPU. However, I want to parametrically design it after the fact, aka copy on Fusion, so if you're patient enough then wait a year and I'll upload it. https://tigerstonefxshop.com/collections/neck-pieces/products/the-dark-knight-rises-tdk-tdkr-neck-armor-for-your-batman-mask-cowl The Dark Knight Armor set. Originally from Jumpman971. All parts have been remixed, made manifold, and ready to print. (for a 6 ft. tall man) The chest piece has been a particular pain but I was assisted by 'Print Very Good' Paul on YT - Nice guy! First off, this is a marathon... Even though I had allot more work to do than you will have to do, it's allot of pieces, allot of odd shapes, and allot of filament. It's totally worth it and I'm excited for my next full-body armor print but be prepared or don't start. I recommend 2 or 3 printers working together to get through this in a reasonable amount of time. Print the left and right sides next to each other at a slight slant (75 degrees perhaps?) with supports with the long sides on the Y axis. When there is a mirrored piece, I only uploaded one side to save us both time. Also download the original 'COMPLETE.BLEND' from Jumpman971's Thingiverse so you can see the model in Blender. (Also get Blender.) (I'm pushing this out before a throat piece is remodeled because I have a 2-week vacation coming up and I'm busy this week... I won't make you wait 3 weeks just for that, I will upload when I can or please do me a favor and make it manifold.) The leg pieces and side leg pieces should be printed at about an 85% size; I didn't bother adjusting since we're all different sizes, and you REALLY should measure yourself and adjust the size of each print to match yourself. The arms... are in separate pieces (scabbards?) and will be difficult; I printed the lower side in TPU to give myself some flexibility. Also, I've found that some pieces don't perfectly contour to my arm/leg/ribs although most do, but when they don't get a heat gun and heat up the inside and bend slightly to match your body contour. The chest piece is a perfect fit for me at 360 mm length but I have big shoulders, and a muscular chest so MEASURE your chest. Also, when done you will have to heat gun the inside center and slightly bend to be less curved to fit snug. I didn't fix that in Blender BECAUSE I'm done; it's perfect as far as design. I printed my armor with Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate from Priline. I highly recommend them; however, it'll require a modified HotEnd and HeatBed so I won't add settings unless requested (print with that filament if you know what's good for you!). It's great for long prints because it just doesn't fail... It never failed. I paid the extra $ for it and the extra $ for shipping to Asia, and it was worth it. I have an S4 400X400X400 print area and it was very handy for these prints. It can work for a 300X300X300 but you'll need to get creative diagonally; honestly, it will be hard. I recommend an upgrade if you REALLY want this to turn out perfectly. Anyways, this is a long time coming, and I've put allot of time learning Blender to remix this awesome Dark Knight armor. It was a mess... A MESS when I found it, although beautiful. So at the very least leave a nice word; check out 'Print Very Good' on YT - Paul will answer any question about Blender or Cura, and he's spot-on (S3D is better though). I will answer questions about anything you guys need about this since I've spent the last 4 months perfecting this; I can safely say I know more about this armor than most people anywhere. Good luck... You... Will... Need it! And one more thing... Practice your Bale Batman voice; I see these kids in bad Dark Knight armor winning cosplay contests talking like squeaky little jr. high girls... I will Batarang you from Japan if I hear of it XD
