The Cyber Simian

The Cyber Simian was just another chimpanzee until he was severely injured while being captured for scientific experimentation. The scientists intended to euthanize him until one of them saw potential in the chimp and decided to use him as a subject for his own cybernetics experiments. The scientist had developed advanced prostheses, which he fitted to the chimp. He gave the chimp a cybernetic eye to replace his ruined left one, a robotic arm substituted his mangled right, two mechanical boots replaced his broken legs and finally the scientist gave the chimp an iron jaw in place of his original, which had been severely dislocated and nearly torn off. In addition to the replaced body parts, the scientist fitted the chimp with a tail lined with razor-sharp blades and enhanced the chimp's brain with a cybernetic implant to make him more intelligent. The chimp recalled his injuries and vowed to get revenge on the poachers who had harmed him. He escaped the lab and made it back to the jungle where he used to live, using his cybernetic eye to quickly locate the poachers and exact his revenge. He decided that he did not want others to suffer as he did and returned to the scientists' lab from where he now protects the city's populace and has earned the name The Cyber Simian. The print is approximately 3.2 inches tall and was printed at a resolution of 100 microns. The model is a single piece requiring no assembly. Unfortunately, the left arm failed to print properly, and I didn't have time to reprint it. The hand, which should be on the ground like the other hand, appears to have been printed at shoulder height for some reason, with no sign of the rest of the arm remaining. There is no residual material in the resin drum, typically left behind during failed prints, leaving me puzzled about what went wrong.
