The Cuttlefish Reaper Mold This is a two piece injection type mold for making a soft plastic Reaper type fishing lure. This is a modified version of the Reaper I did before and the tail of this bait was model after a Cuttlefish fin hence the name. This is just a unique lure I came up with to test out a crazy wavy split line on a 3d printed mold. It turns out that it works quite well. This is a 3D printed plastic mold so you have to be careful with your temps and injection pressure. I printed this mold in PLA+ and try to inject my Plastisol at or around 300°. (I use Dead On Plastix's brand of Plastisol) You also need to use very little pressure on the injector when shooting these types of mold. If you use a lot of pressure when injecting a 3D printed Mold... you can/will blow through the mold. Start light and work up with the pressure if you do not get a full injection or you have bubbles. It's better to have a misformed bait or two than ruin the mold. Your results may vary depending on brand/type of filament used. 4/15/20 - Per request I added master molds for creating Molds from silicone. (I have net tested these so if there are problems let me know.) 8-29-20 - Added a thinner version of the tail to try and get more ripple action of the tail.
