I recently picked up an Anycubic Photon S for the lab. I had never done SLA printing myself, only vicariously through others who made things for me. But the high temp-resistant bio-resins are too tempting to not spend a few hundred bucks on a new printer... even if that makes my 3rd 3D printer... I might have a problem [not enough space for more printers]. Living in New England limits the amount of UV processing of prints you can do outside so, I got the obligatory UV light and solar-powered turntable. I had this on my workbench when I was curing prints but felt that the PPE and safety precautions I was taking needed to be upgraded, especially if I was to spend a lot of time in the workshop or lab with it on. Hence, employing one 3d printer to make useful things for the other. I decided to create a box to enclose my SLR setup, providing protection from dust and UV light while also adding some style to my workspace. I used mirrored window film to line the inside of the box, giving it a sleek appearance and reducing glare from the screen. The Gorilla glue spray adhesive helped me attach the film securely to the sides of the box. The Anycubic Photon S worked really well for me overall and decent build quality. If you don't have or are considering an SLR printer I've been surprised how easy it was to get started and successfully print. Way easier then FDM printing. Here's a list of materials I used: - Mirrored window film - https://www.amazon.com/Turntable-360%C2%B0Rotating-Solidify-Photosensitive-Photocuring/dp/B083ZFH24H/ref=as_li_ss_tl?crid=30KI6XREFYBF2&dchild=1&keywords=uv+light+cure+resin&qid=1593010057&sprefix=uv+light+cure,aps,141&sr=8-4&linkCode=sl1&tag=bioxkxv6-20&language=en_US - Gorilla glue spray adhesive - https://www.amazon.com/Turntable-360%C2%B0Rotating-Solidify-Photosensitive-Photocuring/dp/B083ZFH24H/ref=as_li_ss_tl?crid=30KI6XREFYBF2&dchild=1&keywords=uv+light+cure+resin&qid=1593010057&sprefix=uv+light+cure,aps,141&sr=8-4&linkCode=sl1&tag=bioxkxv6-20&language=en_US If you're considering an SLR printer, I highly recommend the Anycubic Photon S. It's a great option for beginners and experienced users alike.
