The Cult of Zilla The Lords of Zilla Collection Four bipedal mutant reptile boss monsters for 28mm games. Pre-supported and unsupported files included. Also includes simple printable figure bases. Members of the Zihan and Gihan tribes have found an Ancient movie theater that was playing old classic Giant Monster movies at the time of the Great Disaster, and the reptilian mutants have used the fictional monsters from that source as the basis for their own religion. A select few members of the tribe had additional mutations that made them stand out and somewhat resemble the giant monsters from the movies. They used this to their advantage and became powerful Lords of the Cult of Zilla. Angry Russ is a Zihan (mutant iguana) who happens to have a spiny carapace. This made him look much like one of the movie monsters, except that he was green instead of brown. His ‘friends’ found some Ancient spray paint and painted him brown (poorly). The paint irritates his skin, and so his is angry. Angry Russ. Bob-Zilla is just an exceptionally large Gihan (gila monster mutant). With the addition of some armored plates along his back, he has become the spitting image of the cult’s movie hero! Gig-Ann is a cosplay enthusiast, and she helped put everyone’s ‘looks’ together. For herself, she chose a really cool helmet and twin swords that make her look like her favorite movie monster. Glo-Dan is a Gihan who has wings and glow-in-the-dark skin. Gig-Ann put a pointy hat on him, and called it done. Each of these figures stands on a 1” base, except for Bob-Zilla who is real big and stands on a 2” Large base. Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They are also designed to stand up to actual tabletop use: no ridiculous spindly bits that look awesome but are going to break the first time someone sneezes. Paintability and ease of assembly are also important concerns to our design aesthetic. I sculpted these custom monsters for use in our Gen Con/Origins Mutant Crawl Classics adventure scenario ‘The Temple of Zilla’, and they also appeared in our original Mutant Mayhem Minis kickstarter. They are available for sale in pewter on my website at dark-platypus.com , or you can buy them digitally right here and print your own Lords of Zilla! Dark-Platypus Studios publishes the Mutant Mayhem Minis line of models, which are officially licensed for use with Mutant Crawl Classics, published by Goodman Games.
