The Creative
grabcad
This update was posted on 29th June, showcasing a video demonstrating the creation's components, assembly process, and benefits. The entry was created based on two ideas, one being a mouse design for disabled individuals and another for a person constantly using their hands. The latter idea evolved with the development of quick-release mechanisms, allowing usage of various tools like rulers and x-acto knives. Although some features remain unfinished, all components except fastening hardware are 3D printable, making assembly straightforward. Both Basic Quick-Release and Double Quick-Release devices work with a RYOBI hex bit adapter, enabling single-handed or prosthetic operation for attachment and removal of tools. The unique paintbrush adapter allows usage of various brushes, while the Universal Drawing/Tool adapter accommodates different sized devices using 3D printed 'sizing collars'. This invention facilitates swift disconnection and reconnection of tools and adapters. All main parts can be 3D printed for under $20, proving its affordability. The creator plans to update images and provide more information throughout the challenge.
