The Cranky Lure
thingiverse
Been a while, but I'm back with the Cranky lure. It's nothing special, just your normal regular everyday flat sided crank bait. Print it at 100% infill, and I'd recommend the layer thickness being 1 mm (the details come out a bit sharper then). There's a cavity in the belly that will fit a 10 mm ball bearing with room to spare. That way it'll have some room to roll around and make some noise. There's a channel for the wire (preferably 1 mm stainless steel), and then you just need to glue both halves together. There are also 3 lips included. You can print a lip out and glue it into the slot. Alternately, you can use the printed lure as a template to cut out a polycarbonate lip (like I did). All you need to do then is paint, glue some eyes in, clear coat (if that's your thing), and slip on a pair of #4 treble hooks. If you make one, do consider posting a make, all the more so if you make one and manage to catch something with it.
