The Cookie Scoop

The Cookie Scoop

I generally use a Sorbet Scoop for measuring out cookie dough to get consistent sized cookies, which works much better than a spoon. However, the mechanism can get messy and clogged, so I thought this might solve that problem. The scooped ball of cookie dough can be easily pressed out with your thumb and dropped right onto the pan for consistent cookies every time. I printed this in white ABS at 0.4 with 10% infill and two shells - yes, I know ABS is not considered food grade, but this was just a quick test print, and it's what I had loaded at the time. I reinforced the handle really well so it won't snap easily like many plastic kitchen gadgets bought in stores these days. I suggest printing in your choice of food-grade material at 0.2 to 0.3 with 10 to 20% infill. If you like it, I'd be happy to know in a comment - or if you dislike it for that matter! Happy baking!
