The printer struggled to maintain stability without the overhang support, resulting in a severely wobbly print. The blade snapped off above the guard, leaving me no choice but to carefully melt it back into place using a lighter. Needless to say, this flawed design would have been unable to tackle even the simplest tasks, such as opening mail. I'll give it another try tomorrow and see if I can achieve better results.
