The Citadel
thingiverse
I modeled this tower after The Citadel (aka Hightower) artwork for Game of Thrones, drawing inspiration from its imposing presence. The foundation is entirely my own creation, not based on any specific reference. A deliberate void in the tower's structure invites customization, allowing you to illuminate it with a LED light for an added layer of visual interest. Alternatively, a single LED at the top could evoke the burning flames of a bonfire, a visually striking effect that warrants further experimentation. To achieve optimal print quality, I employed a 0.15mm layer height for the tower and 0.2mm for the base. A slow printing pace is essential for the tower's intricate details to be fully realized. Due to its exceptional height, the model has been divided into two separate files. When assembled correctly, the pieces fit together seamlessly, provided your printer is calibrated accurately. However, if you suspect any discrepancies in your printer's calibration, consider scaling down the design slightly to ensure a smooth build process. The tower itself requires no supports for a successful print, whereas the base benefits significantly from sparse supports placed strategically underneath it during the printing process.
