The Chac-Seat was crafted specifically for the second biennial Latin American Design event in Holland, 2005, courtesy of LADF (Latin American Design Foundation). Conceived by Mauricio Lara, it pays homage to the legendary Mayan deity statue, Chac Mool. By manipulating the user's posture into a relaxed and carefree stance, the design presents an ironic contrast to the god's behavior.
