The caps of the numbers from 0 to 10
cults3d
After four years of excellent and faithful service, my workshop made from nested bottle caps is nearing its end of life. As we no longer buy many plastic bottles, I created it again with my 3D printer using the same principle. The goal of this autonomous workshop is to teach students to recognize different number representations from 0 to 10 by combining numbers in three writing forms: numeric numbers, dice constellations, and finger constellations. Students can place them one on top of another or stack them inside each other. This colorful workshop has been highly successful overall. The finger constellation blocks are five centimeters in diameter, the dice constellation caps are four centimeters in diameter, and the number blocks are three centimeters in diameter. All have a height of one centimeter. It's possible to reverse the relief of numbers to improve readability, especially when printing with dark colors or markers.
