The Bug Catcher 2000! I live in an old house with a ton of bugs, so my family and I were desperate to find a way to catch them without touching them. That's how the Bug Catcher 2000 was born! It turned out amazing and was a blast to work on. This version is awesome, but I'm already thinking about how to make it even better for the next one. I hope to start designing an updated version soon, but I've got a bunch of other projects to tackle first, so it'll be a while before I get to it. If you have any ideas or want to see another version, let me know! Printing: I printed the legs out of PLA and the dome and tray out of Sainsmart TPU, so your bug doesn't get squished if you accidentally close it one of them. I used a support pillar in the middle of the dome. The rest of the parts don't need supports. The STLs are in "Inch" scale, so just multiply by 25.4 or 2540%. Assembly: Snap the legs together and use super glue to bond the dome and tray to the legs. If the legs want to fall off the hinge, stick a short bit of filament in the center of the hinge to keep them together. Check out the picture for a close-up view of the hinge. Here are my Amazon affiliate links for the filament I used: Sainsmart White TPU: https://amzn.to/2T89EBk (hands down the best TPU) Hatchbox Red PLA: https://amzn.to/2TaB21C
