The Bristol Brigand, a British-built anti-shipping, ground attack, and dive bomber aircraft, was introduced as a successor to the Beaufighter by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. With 147 units produced, it saw service with the Royal Air Force in Malaya during the Malayan Emergency and Kenya until being phased out in favor of the de Havilland Hornet in Malaya and the English Electric Canberra jet bomber elsewhere.
