Many FPV pilots opt for fitting VRx to a tripod, but I decided to mount it directly on the car roof. My idea revolves around designing a bracket that can be quickly installed and disassembled as needed. Furthermore, the design should enable free rotation of the camera toward the flight site at will. Take a look at the test mount pictured below; it typically takes one minute or less to set up, while dismantling it is even quicker. This customized bracket comprises four distinct components: a base, which securely holds VRx with the aid of a strap; a top section that bolts firmly onto the base using an M3x10 screw and a locknut; a bottom portion that snugly fits onto the top component; and a lock, responsible for securing the bottom section in place. To assemble this entire contraption effectively, you will need to obtain one M3x10mm screw and one locknut – the latter being press-fitted into the top part of the bracket initially. Secure it firmly by screwing it into position for proper placement; and that's all!
