The Bowshock: Alpha Flight Helmet NVG-Mounted 3D Printed Face Shield

A Careflight nurse discovered our local 3D printed PPE group, MakeItDayton.org, and requested a face shield that would fit on his flight helmet. We assisted him in creating one for his helmet (see it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4307004), then learned about the Alpha helmet style with an NVG mount. This was the start of Project Bowshock. After several design iterations, we settled on this version. It needs to be printed flat to ensure strength and assembles quickly with three #8 x 1" screws. The NVG-mount holds it in place after being snapped into position with the top NVG-mount clips flipped up (see photos). An 8.5"x11" sheet is shown in the photo, but an 8.5"x14" (legal size) would provide better coverage around the sides.
