The book (dice box) of the dead - The Mummy

This is a remix of poblockim's Book of the Dead template on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4153270 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4713357 I wanted to make a dice box, pencil box,... for a friend who plays jdr. And since we play mostly D&D, and there are huge makers, I wanted to incorporate some props I found to track spells and hit points. (you can see them on one of the pictures). I made the box in 5mm plywood with a saw, a cutter. Wood paste to smooth it all out and varnish to finish. I added the printed parts. The latches are removable and allow you to release the cover with the beetles. For this I used a M6 rod that goes through all the pieces of the edge. BE CAREFUL to glue only the end caps to the rod once the other parts are inserted so that the latches remain removable. Small neodymium magnets are inserted in the latches and in the beetles to "close" the box. BE CAREFUL to place the scarabs last so that the latch/scarab holes coincide. For a better grip, I still added magnets between the box and the cover to keep the cover in place even when the latches are removed. (You can't see them on the pictures : there is a magnet at each corner of the box). The effects in the wood are made with a dremel. I have attached the blender file that I worked on. I left all the modifiers not applied if you want to change the size of the magnets, rod, etc....
