The Boeslunde Altarpiece, right panel, features a masterpiece created in North Germany around 1425 as part of an intricate altarpiece with two pairs of wings. Originally placed in the Carmelite monastery in Skelskør, it was later transferred to the National Museum from Boeslunde Church on Sjaeland, but its history dates back to its possible origins in the Carmelite church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, who is prominently depicted as the central figure on the altarpiece. The vivid colors of the altarpiece remain intact, a testament to its remarkable preservation over the centuries.
