The Big Bang Theory drink-coaster

The Big Bang Theory is a hilarious TV show about a group of nerds and a beautiful girl. I've watched a lot of episodes from this series in the past few years. I always found it interesting and educational to watch. The show has become extremely popular and successful worldwide. This download includes two custom drink coasters, one positive and one negative version. You can use these coasters to place your favorite beverage on them. If you print them out, don't hesitate to share a picture of your creation online. The coaster is designed with standard dimensions (100 by 100 by 5 mm) to fit perfectly in my coaster holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 I printed this model using Fillamentum luminous green PLA filament, setting the layer height to 0.25mm and infill percentage to 18%. I used a 0.4mm nozzle on my extruder, which was set at 210 degrees Celsius. To prevent curling at the bottom, I applied a brim. Feel free to experiment with your own print settings - it won't affect the coaster's quality. Design Process: I found a logo online and converted it into an SVG format using Inkscape (see video*). Next, I opened the SVG file in Blender and created a 3D object from it. To repair any errors in the file, I used Meshmixer's Inspector button under the Analysis tab. Then, I added a drink coaster to the model in Meshmixer. Using 123D Design, I designed a simple drink coaster with basic shapes. You can also create a template for a drink coaster using Tinkercad or any other design software. After scaling the logo model in Meshmixer, I merged it with the drink coaster model to create the positive file. To create the negative version of the coaster, I used 123D Design to subtract the logo model from a standard drink coaster shape. I saved the result as an STL file and sliced it for printing. However, since the model still had some issues even after repairing it in Meshmixer, I decided to export it to Netfabb Online Service for further repair. Netfabb is a free online service that helps fix errors in 3D models. After using this tool, I previewed the model in my slicer (which I recommend doing before printing any model). The preview looked great, with perfect lines and no issues, so I was able to print it without problems.
