Culture: Medieval. Material: bronze. Accession no: HCA 618. Current Location: The Hunt Museum, [Limerick. A bronze sanctuary bell from the ninth century known as the Bell of Badoney. Both front and back are widely splayed while the other sides are narrower. It has a small handle on top and the clapper is missing. The bell was found in a bog at Lower Badoney, Co. Tyrone, in 1856. This site forms part of the Journey Through Time, archaeological and historical tour of the Foyle and Sperrins area. More.
