The Barney pod
thingiverse
It looked like a dinosaur to me, so I named it. I was fed up with pods that barely offered enough space for components, requiring disassembly just to remove the camera. Little camera protection made it vulnerable. To improve it, Barney v1 was printed with TPU at 100% infill and thicker walls, weighing 29g. Now I can print nylon so the walls are thinned, reducing weight to around 17g with 50% infill. It holds up well unless you hit a culvert. Pictures are included above or as we say, it didn't happen if it isn't on DVR (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3iJXPfYmww). Replacement is printing at 100% infill. I won't repeat the culvert crash to test difference between 50 & 100% infill. This pod fits well on the Campfire X1 frame, although it may also fit other frames like the CMW Merica. Accessory pieces for the Barney pod currently include full razorback fin, rear fin and unicorn horn. Fusion 360 design sketch to create new accessories can be downloaded here: https://a360.co/2v2C593
