The Balloon Lampshade
thingiverse
I've created my new Lampshade "Balloon" and I'm hoping you'll love its unique hot air balloon design - perfect for the young at heart! It's composed of three cleverly interconnected parts that require a sturdy string, about 30cm in length, to hold them together. The accompanying pictures showcase exactly how to assemble this brilliant creation, so don't be afraid to dive right in and give it a try! I've printed "Balloon" using both Slic3r's vase mode and Cura, and I'm thrilled to report that they produce equally impressive results. Here are the print settings I used: PLA material, 0.2mm layer height, and a gentle vase mode approach - but don't forget to boost your flow rate to 180% to avoid those pesky overhangs! Afterwards, on November 1st, 2016, I added an even more refined version of the "Balloon", which you can now find attached. Then, in 2019, a kind gesture towards our friends with Creality Ender 3 stock printers led me to upload a tailored G-code - happy printing!
