(Pictured printed with ABS) The Animals were an iconic British band of the 1960s, born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, at the decade's outset. The group moved to London after achieving fame in 1964. The Animals are renowned for their raw, blues-infused sound and Eric Burdon's distinctive, deep voice, as exemplified by their signature song and transatlantic No.1 hit single, "The House of the Rising Sun", as well as hits like "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It's My Life", "I'm Crying" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood".
