Presenting the American Craftsman Bungalow Birdhouse! This birdhouse boasts two entrances that invite birds in, while upper ventilation through a chimney and windows ensures airflow. Sloped drains at the base allow fluid to escape effortlessly. Multiple interior platforms built into corners provide cozy spots where wind can't reach, giving birds a snug place to roost. A charming veranda offers three perches for birds to lounge on, basking in the sun or socializing with friends. Hefty center-aligned screw slots enable secure tree mounting, while two decorative support trusses add extra stability and keep it firmly in place. This sophisticated birdhouse is designed to print seamlessly without support material, even printing its entire body as a single piece! The base, including the porch for the veranda, slides smoothly into position from the front, with columns mating perfectly with the roof beam. To bring this stunning design to life, I recommend printing it in PLA on a printer with a build platform at least 220 mm long and 150 mm wide. Don't worry about bridges – they're around an inch long at their longest, making them manageable for most printers, including my trusty Replicator. Feel free to scale this model proportionally, but it was designed specifically to cater to small birds like finches, blue-jays, chickadees, and similar species.
