Instructions for building this marble machine are as follows: This machine is simple and easy to build. I recommend slicing the 3D file with Cura at https://ultimaker.com/en/software/list. To achieve optimal results, use the following settings when printing your marble machine: Layer height 0.1 mm or 0.2 mm for faster print; Shell thickness 0.8 mm; Bottom/Top thickness 0.6 mm; Fill Density 25%; Print speed 40 mm/s; and don't add any supports. The ball bearings required to create the marble run should be between 9.5 mm and 10 mm in diameter. To assemble this machine, simply print and assemble its components according to the given instructions. You can download this design in four different files: R_The_3D_Marble_Machine_2_Final_Model.stl - Original file that works best with the Cura slicing software as recommended above. repaird version - Fixed file, which you should use if you're not using cura or having trouble slicing your model. Four separate STL files are available: Cap, Turning wheel, Lift and Track. Note: The lift (spiral) part has a variation where it is without the supporting cylinder, ideal for those who prefer to print it with a brim or raft.
