This is a kitbashing of an A-10 Thunderbolt and an F-14 Tomcat. Designed and built by StarCorps industries, the Thundercat is capable of interplanetary flight and is armed with a formidable array of weapons, including a Rassalhauge Armaments Zeus-75 Mark IX Autocannon 20, a Blackwell Heavy Industries Magna Firestar Extended Range Particle Projection Cannon and three Achernar BattleMechs ChisComp 38 medium lasers. The Thundercat was designed and built using spare parts from many other projects, giving it an unorthodox appearence but lowering its cost and specialized maintinance needs considerably. Capabilities: The Thundercat's primary role is to provide fire support for ground forces engaged in combat with enemy forces. With a total of 4 tons of ammunition, the Zeus-75 Mark IX Autocannon 20 is capable of bringing a devastating amount firepower of firepower to enemy targets at close range. In addition, the Magna Firestar Extended Range Particle Projection Cannon provides an excellent long range punch, while the three wing-mounted ChisComp-38 medium lasers are highly effective against lighter targets. To keep the weapons cool, the Thundercat is equipped with 13 double heat sinks, allowing it to deliver a blistering level of sustained fire. The Thundercat is designed to be highly durable, with an airframe protected by 14 tons of armor. It also has an exceptional internal fuel capacity of 8 tons, giving it a long loiter time on the battlefield. The Thundercat's safe thrust is 6, with an overthrust of 9, making it quite fast for its size and weight class. Deployment: The Thundercat was used extensively by mercenary forces and the AFFS during the Jihad, and is widely reguarded as a stable, low maintainance aerospace asset. The Thundercat eceived it's nickame from the sound the main cannon makes when it fires, which has been described by those who survived, as 'Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrf'.
