Thank A Veteran!
thingiverse
This 3D thank you sign, featuring a two-color merge and glue-attached single color print (the statue), is sized for a MakerBOT Replicator One. For the dual-strusion, each .stl needs to be "moved to platform" and "centered" to utilize the 'centering blocks' at opposite corners of each file, ensuring accurate registration. Create .gcode files for both and select "merge .stl for dual extrusion" on the "Gcode" pull-down menu. Choose one 2color .gcode for left and the other for right, name the merged dual .gcode, and then choose "merge." Print the statue separately with the same scaling strategy as the joined files, glue to the sign, and enjoy the finished product! The included SketchUP file displays the name text (Arial Black, .5 high and .03 thick, right justified) along with other text components (Arial Black, .3 high and .03 thick, right justified), all 5" apart. Shout out to "jmil" and "bre" for their base files. The design was created in SketchUP 8, proofed in netfabb Studio Basic, sliced in ReplicatorG, and printed on a Replicator One with full acceleration, 5% infill, and one shell. Peace!
