Thames River barge (1-148)

While researching the origins of intermodal transport, I found pictures of British road-rail-containers being unloaded from barges to wagons at a dock near London in the 1930's. Then I found another fascinating image on the web, showing a barge floating up or down the river with the help of the tidal current – that is climate-neutral transport as it was standard hundred years ago! A friend had a book with plans of these barges, so there was good reason to make a model out of them and here it is. Hope someone has use of it. There are three versions, one with complete hull and two waterline versions, loaded to maximum and partially loaded with trim aft. Hatch covers of different style are provided to fit to your scene. And to make things alive you may download personal: two on the rudders, one pulling a rope, one sitting (who doesn’t need a rest sometimes) and one standing around (isn’t there always one?). For filling with coal I use model coal made by Busch 7071: https://www.busch-model.info/000007071.4 All models sized for British n-scale (1:148).
