Thames and Kosmos reinforcement piece for robot arm

The robot arm on my Thames and Kosmos Remote-Control Machines set has a weak attachment that affects the up-and-down motion's worm drive. The upper part of the worm screw's axis is loose, causing the worm to disengage from the worm wheel. I found it easy to reinforce this with a 5x hole piece and two studs, but unfortunately, there weren't enough studs in the set. To fix this issue, I designed a simple reinforcement piece that works well. In the photo, you'll see the green piece I created. You might need to adjust your printer's tolerance settings for best results. The spacing between the two studs on my reinforcement piece is identical to what you'd find on a standard 5x hole piece. By placing this piece diagonally, it doesn't fit perfectly and applies some pressure that draws the worm screw and wheel closer together - a positive outcome in my opinion. However, if you prefer a smoother fit, try increasing the length of the piece from 5 to 5.24. This reinforcement might come in handy for other Thames and Kosmos projects as well.
