Thaed's Desk Shelf
thingiverse
This time, I crafted an office desk shelf using my 3D printing skills. The idea behind it is that it provides an extra level on your desk, increasing its surface area without cluttering too much space. One or two shelves work best; any more and they may hinder the desk's functionality. After a year of 3D printing, I have accumulated numerous objects which my wife organized in a box. She seemed to appreciate the desk shelf, though. To make this shelf, print two sets of parts and assemble them. There are different ways to fit these together; I designed front and back supports for optimal space utilization. In the prototype, I made a mistake with two corner pieces, but it didn't affect the assembly since their size difference could be compensated. I have resized everything for this upload. Please let me know if you encounter any issues. The first version required some sanding for the connectors; I widened them in this design, but you may still need to do a bit of sanding. For better aesthetics, glue felt on the top and bottom surfaces.
