The TGV Réseau trains are electric TGVs from the SNCF, capable of speeds up to 320 km/h, introduced in service starting from 1992 with the opening of the LGV Nord line. They represent the third generation of high-speed trains at a single level (following the TGV Sud-Est and TGV Atlantique). A portion of the TGV Réseau is transformed into POS (reusing carriages from some trains) and Network Duplex (reusing motors from these same trains) in 2006 and 2007. These TGVs are directly derived from the TGV Atlantique, but with a reduced composition to eight intermediate carriages instead of ten. The designation "Réseau" comes from the fact that they were designed to circulate on various high-speed lines opened in France. The TGV Réseau exist in both bicourant and tricourant versions. Some minor modifications have been made to the TGV Réseau compared to the TGV Atlantique, particularly at the carriage level. These trains are sealed against pressure waves, unlike the TGV Atlantique, meaning that for example you don't feel variations in pressure when entering or exiting a tunnel.
