The quad is inspired by the Spyda500 quad online and features 1/2" Sch40 PVC or 22mm OD carbon fiber arms, recommended for printing in ABS plastic. It offers a 30.5mm x 30.5mm mounting pattern at the top for flight controllers and an 80x80 vibration mount below for a gimbal. Four ESC mounts use zip ties on the upper plate. To assemble, metric hardware is needed: (QTY 6) 3x8mm bolts (QTY 4) 35mm bolts by 3x (QTY 4) 3mm nylock nuts (QTY 8) 3mm self-tapping screws If desired, holes can be drilled out to 1/8" for SAE bolts: (QTY 6) 6-32x1/2" bolts (QTY 4) 6-32x1 1/2" bolts (QTY 4) 6-32 nylock nuts (QTY 8) #8 self-tapping screws Landing gear options are available: long legs standing 123mm (~5") and short legs at 55mm (~2"), using (QTY 16) 3x16mm bolts or (QTY 16) 6-32x5/8" SAE bolts. To build: Print upper, lower, and motor mounts. Cut carbon tubing to 155mm or PVC to match size. Secure the upper plate to the lower using longer center bolts and shorter outer ones to avoid stripping plastic. Use self-tapping screws on each arm end. Arms should be 193mm from outer motor mount edge to inside mounting block. Glue, zip tie, or screw motor mounts in place.
