TFA Resistance Pilot chest box
thingiverse
My replica of the chest box from The Force Awakens as seen on the pilots. I aimed to design it with simplicity in mind for easy finishing. All paintable areas should be able to print without masking, as each color part prints separately. The center panel is designed to provide easy access to the LED battery (if you choose to light it). Print Settings: Printer: FolgerTech FT5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 18% Notes: I use 4 bottom layers, 4 top, and 2 outline layers. Post-Printing: All parts require sanding. I prefer printing with PETG because it allows me to use an electric sander with 60-grit to quickly remove lines, and the heat doesn't soften the print. Parts that can't be reached with a sander can be filled with bondo glazing putty. I don't recommend epoxy coatings as they soften details too much. How I Designed This: I created this design in OnShape.
