GRAFLEX The Force Awakens flash body. A replica of the Jedi Knight's iconic weapon, built on the basic layout of a Graflex flash unit. This version focuses on replicating the prop rather than idealizing Luke's lightsaber. ****UPDATED 5/25/16: Added an actual bottom to the rear/bottom tube, creating a closed system. Finally! ****UPDATED 3/15/16: Refined the bends on the bunny ears for accuracy. ****UPDATED 2/29/16: Corrected the main body - both halves are now smoother and more precise. The front half has been lengthened to match the original dimensions. Previous versions were too short. ***UPDATED 2/23/16: Uploaded new parts for the main body, including thicker tubes and tabs for the bunny ears. The interior of the tubes is now clean and free from leftover flash residue. A support piece between the tabs on the body needs to be removed before installing the bunny ears. (No need for 100% infill, as these are meant to be hollow to accommodate the emitter.) Printing may require supports. I have assembled a complete hilt using all the files and taken photos. The top and bottom buttons fit tightly but work well. Make sure the slots on both halves of the body are clean and clear, then the clamp should fit securely in place. Note that you will need to trim the lower circle from the emitter pin to fit it properly. --The way the two halves come together uses the slots on the body combined with the slots on the clamp - slide and twist. You'll need screw/double-sided tape for the grips, as well as screws/bolts to attach the d-ring and its clamp. A small metal pin (such as a paper clip) will be necessary to secure the bunny ears to the tabs on the body. The side pins should fit into the holes on the side of the body, but it might be a tight squeeze. Hot glue works well for securing them in place. The pin and lever on the clamp are an experiment, and you may need to use a thin screw/nut & bolt to secure it properly. This is still a work in progress, and files may change in the future, though I'm confident this version is close to completion.
